E-mail setup for Thunderbird Email Client
Follow our step-by-step guide to set up your e-mail account in Thunderbird.

Before we start adding new email accounts, please could you navigate to the thunderbird settings, by clicking on the 'Cog' icon in the bottom left corner.
Then while undner General section make sure all the Account Hub settings is unticked.
This is due to the fact its experimental and doesn't work with our systems currently.
Step 1: Setup Email, Click - Email to start.
Step 2: Input your Account Details.
Put in your:- Name: first lastname Email address: user@example.com Password: put in the password provided to you. Then Click on the Box - Remember Password
Step 3: Account Type
A menu will appear with Email Servers, make sure it's set to IMAP as the Protocol.
Then click on Done to finish the setup
Step 4: Get your Emails.
on the main page top left hand corner bar, there should be a button called Get messages, Just click - Get messages
Congratulations!
Thunderbird will be setup for your new email account.
If this fails, try re-entering the username and password in the two places required. This is the most common cause of problems!
