E-mail setup for Outlook

Follow our step-by-step guide to set up your e-mail account in Outlook.

Moving to our new Email Service?

Before setting up your new email account, please follow the guide via the button below to ensure you do not lose any local Outlook Emails. This should only be followed by existing X-Net Service's email holders.

Step 1: Open MS Outlook and click on File at the top right of the Outlook App window, you will see this screen.
Click Add 'Account button' (circled in red above) If you need to remove a current account; click on Account Settings below the red box and then account settings again. From here you can click the address in question and click remove.

Step 2: In the next window add your new email address in box provided, then click Connect

Step 3: The Advanced Setup window will appear, click IMAP outlined in red below...
be the e-mail address provided to you by Datacenta.

Step 4: IMAP Account Settings window. In this window enter the follow settings...

Incoming mail Outgoing email
Server: mx1.x-net.co.uk Server: mx1.x-net.co.uk
Port: 993 Port: 587
Encryption method: SSL/TLS Encryption method: STARTTLS

Once all added, click 'Next'

Step 5: In the next window enter you email password in the box provided and click connect
Make sure upper-case and lower-case letters are in the right place.

Enter your Password, then click 'connect'

Step 6: Next, you’ll see this window. Congratulations you have successfully added your email account to you MS Outlook email client. Now click Done

Step 7: Go back to the Outlook Home screen, you new email inbox will appear in the left hand pane of the of the home screen window.

New account should below last listed email in Outlook (Red Arrow shows)
